Animated Type Studies

Exercises in utilizing live type animations in After Effects. The initial part of the animation process would be wildly simpler and more exploratory if I were to outline all the text and treat them as shapes, but sometimes messaging has to change last minute and that can slow the process to a grinding halt. After Effects text animators aren’t the most robust, but most of the time you don’t need GPU melting flashy effects. If it’s just a few words, then that’s a different story. Most of the time, if your message is good then some simple movement is all you need. If you feel you need a ton of effects on your messaging then maybe you need to work on the messaging itself.
